Port Elizabeth is one of South Africa's best kept secrets. Its fantastic weather, endless array of outdoor attractions, great restaurants and nightlife and friendly laid back feel make it an ideal place for a holiday. Located along the shores of Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth or "The Friendly City" as locals call it, is the gateway to the Sunshine Coast and Garden Route, making it the perfect base from which to explore the Eastern Cape coastline as well as nearby attractions, like the world famous Addo Elephant National Park. More than 64km of coastline along Port Elizabeth play a central role in the local lifestyle. The beaches range from crowded, social and developed to long and deserted. A warm climate year-round, and the right mix of wind and swells, makes the area a haven for watersports.
Bluewater Bay Bluewater Bay has a magnificent stretch of beach and is patrolled by lifesavers in summer.
Schoenmakerskop Village Picnic spots, coves, rock pools and holiday resorts with safe bathing located along the rocky section of the shore.
Sardinia Bay This popular beach has picnic facilities and is regarded as one of the best walking beaches with miles of unspoilt coastline.
